Doors Open Lambton County
Doors Open is a cultural event celebrated annually by communities around the world. It provides visitors with a unique opportunity to explore hidden heritage treasures across the province – at no cost! This year’s theme is Science and Innovation, and many of the thirty sites will highlight some of the cutting-edge contributions Lambton County has made.
The free event runs Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12.
Visitors will have an opportunity to go on behind-the-scenes tours of public buildings and businesses, peer inside private homes and learn about new initiatives that make our community a better place to live. Each site has one thing in common: they each hold a piece of Lambton’s past and a part of its future.
This year 30 sites are available for you to explore.
Volunteers welcome visitors to the site, assist visitors with their Doors Open itinerary, give tours/run activities, and answer questions. Doors Open is looking for members of the community to volunteer for a half day or full day, on either the Saturday or Sunday at selected sites. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to give back to our community and help us celebrate Lambton County’s finest!
Go behind the scenes, explore rarely opened buildings or take a guided tour at a participating site!
