North Lambton Quilters’ Guild Quilt Show returns to Lambton Heritage Museum

Grand Bend, ON – Lambton Heritage Museum is pleased to announce the return of another vibrant display from the bi-annual North Lambton Quilters’ Guild Quilt Show.
Established in 1989, the North Lambton Quilters’ Guild has been active for over 35 years and has been exhibiting their work at Lambton Heritage Museum for almost 20 years. This year’s exhibit will include traditional quilts, as well as other handmade items like clothing, wall hangings, table-toppers, and accessories. The display will also divulge quilters’ inspirations and memories associated with their projects, including why they chose certain patterns or techniques.
“We are thrilled to once again partner with the North Lambton Quilters’ Guild to present this much-loved show,” said Dana Thorne, Curator/Supervisor with Lambton Heritage Museum. “Visitors will be delighted by the variety of projects submitted and the creativity on display. This Quilt Show always demonstrates an incredible amount of talent, experience, and skill. It’s going to be a beautiful summer highlight here at the Museum.”
The exhibition will begin with a special opening weekend from Thursday, June 19 to Saturday, June 21 between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. During the opening weekend, visitors can meet members of the North Lambton Quilters’ Guild, enjoy light refreshments in the tearoom, browse vendors selling quilting supplies and books, and explore the Guild’s quilting garage sale. Regular museum admission applies.
After the opening weekend, a selection of quilts and textiles will remain on display until August 31. For more information, visit the exhibition webpage at heritagemuseum.ca. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors (65+)/students, $3 for children, and children aged three and under are free.
