Drop Into Genealogy

Date: Thursday, April 4, 2019 Time: 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm Location: Lambton County Archives Map

The first week of April is Archives Awareness Week!

Join Lambton County Archives by celebrating your local archives and the importance of the collections and documentary heritage in the community. To celebrate this event, the Lambton County Archives is offering free admission to anyone who wants to visit our facility and work on their local history or genealogical research. Come visit us at 787 Broadway Street and work with our friendly staff to see what you can uncover!

In addition to the free admission, we will be holding two draws for a free annual membership. To enter one of the draws, fill out a ballot when you visit our facility that week; for the other draw, visit our Facebook page during Archives Awareness Week and ‘like’ our page, then “share” a post for a chance to win!

Need help tracing your ancestry? The Lambton County Archives is offering a beginners class on genealogy, Thursday, April 4, 2019. Work on your family tree, discuss research strategies, and discover resources both online and in the Archives vault. Our Archives Assistants will be on hand to answer any questions and share with you tips on how to get the most from your resources. Beginners and experienced researchers alike can enjoy access to Ancestry Library, troubleshoot research questions, and chat with like minded individuals also on the journey to genealogical discoveries!

A free resource sheet and ancestry forms will be available if needed.

Access to free WiFi.
