As part of the Canada’s Waterscapes exhibition, Lambton Heritage Museum will be hosting a Speaker Series.
Authors and adventurers Cris Kohl and Joan Forsberg will share an exciting program recounting the general maritime history of Georgian Bay, with specific stories of certain shipwrecks, particularly the two finally located in 2018 — the J. H. JONES, which foundered in a storm in 1906 with all hands lost, and the MANASOO, which sank in 1928 with the loss of 15 lives, 100+ head of cattle, and a 1927 automobile.
Canada’s Waterscapes is produced by the Canadian Museum of Nature in collaboration with the National Sciences and Engineering Research Council.
