150 Years of Lambton County Quilts

Among the many items that museums collect few tell as many stories as textiles  The Lambton Heritage Museum has over 90 quilts in its collection.  150 Years of Lambton County  Quilts will feature about one-third of this collection, highlighting quilts made between 1867 and 2017.  See a log cabin quilt made in 1870, a quilt made to celebrate the 145th Anniversary of Mandaumin United Church and the Watford Centennial Quilt, made for Canada’s centennial celebrations, by the Watford Legion Auxiliary to name just a few.  Learn how quilts have changed and adapted over the years from the purely practical to bright gems of artistic interpretation.
