"Me, You & Us" Exhibit at Lambton Heritage Museum

Grand Bend, ON - Lambton Heritage Museum will be hosting an original exhibit by local artist Suellen Evoy-Oozeer, with the support of Susan Angela Bressette, next month.
"Me, You, & Us", a recipient of the Creative County Grant Program in 2019, will feature 27 portraits on display March 1 - 17. An opening reception will take place on Friday March 1, 2019 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., admission is free. Evoy-Oozeer will be hosting a "Meet the Artist" talk on Sunday March 3, 2019 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Drive-in' craft and movie event at Lambton Heritage Museum

Grand Bend, ON - Lambton Heritage Museum will be hosting a Cars-themed PD Day event Friday, February 1.
Participants are being asked to bring a box from home out of which they will craft their own, homemade "car". The cars will then be used for a makeshift drive-in movie, featuring Disney's Cars. Bring a pillow for extra comfort.
The event is scheduled to run from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Youth must be accompanied by an adult and are encouraged to bring a lunch.

Facility closures in North Lambton

Wyoming, ON - Loss of hydro at Lambton Heritage Museum and the Grand Bend Library has forced the closure of both facilities today.
It is unknown when power will be restored.
Visitors are encouraged to monitor LambtonMuseums.ca and LCLibrary.ca for updates. Library patrons can also visit a neighbouring branch library or access a number of online programs and services on the Library's website.

A Gem From Paris at the Lambton Heritage Museum

This blog post is in recognition of the opening of a new exhibit at the Lambton Heritage Museum, Shine: Spotlight on Women of Lambton. This exhibit carries a special significance because the history of women is often forgotten or ignored. It's a rare chance to celebrate the women who have shaped Lambton County.
Lambton Heritage Museums staff were able to pull some treasures from their collection to display in the new exhibit. One example is a dress from Helen Corey that tells a special story....
