Lambton County Archives was formed in 1974 and was originally named the Lambton Room. It was created by Mrs. Marion Ellwood, who dedicated her Tuesday and Thursday mornings to organizing a collection of old photographs featuring buildings, streets, and historical events. Since then, Lambton County Archives has been known as the archival hub for assisting researchers with genealogical or family history research in Lambton County. We have documents such as family files, local newspapers, and land records, and an extensive reference library which can help you trace your family tree and put your research into context.
