Colour: Bright blue with white veining, can also be white and grey 

Hardness: 5.5-6 

Streak: White to bluish 

Luster: Vitreous to greasy 

Magnetic: No 

Conductive: No 

Cleavage: Poor 

Relative Density: 2.29 

Distinguishing Characteristics: Blue in colour with a cubic crystal structure. Sodalite contains a high amount of sodium. It is a mineral that is often found in Igneous rock and Metamorphic rock 

Uses: It is often used in jewelry as beads in bracelets and necklaces. It is not a very popular mineral of jewelry since the public has little knowledge of it. It is also used for metaphysical crystal therapy.
