Women Working Together

By working together in formal organizations, women have effectively advocated for change in our communities and made our communities better places to live.

Some of the organizations that women form come from the church, while some organizations support a specific cause. Other organizations encourage education or charitable activities. Still other organizations come together to manage large events and bring enjoyment to the community.

Many women's organizations have been meeting in Lambton County consistently for decades, and in the case of some Women's Institute branches, for over a century.

These diverse groups left a mark on their communities and provided years of friendship along the way. In these examples, several heads are better than one, and the power of the group better than the individual.
