Heritage Sarnia-Lambton Network offers virtual Lambton Goes Global Heritage Hour Presentation
Wyoming, ON – The Heritage Sarnia-Lambton museum network invites community members to discover how Lambton County’s individuals, industries, and innovations have shaped the wider world during the next virtual Heritage Hour, Lambton Goes Global, on Thursday, April 30 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
From the impact of our early oil drillers to astronauts in outer space to talented locals celebrated around the world, Lambton Goes Global explores the stories of people who started locally and achieved national and international recognition.
“Throughout Lambton’s history there have been many individuals and businesses that went on to have great success on the world stage,” said Dana Thorne, Curator/Supervisor with Lambton Heritage Museum. “Lambton Goes Global will examine some of these figures and the remarkable feats they achieved, proving that local roots can lead to global impact.”
The presentation will be hosted virtually and features museum and heritage professionals from across Lambton County, including Meagan Sinclair (Oil Museum of Canada National Historic Site), Nicole Aszalos (Lambton County Archives), and David McLean (Forest Museum). The presentation will be moderated by Dana Thorne (Lambton Heritage Museum).
