Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Archives invites the community to participate in the second workshop of The Preservation Lab series. The workshop, Deterioration, will take place in-person on Wednesday, May 14 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Lambton County Archives in Wyoming.

Staff from Lambton County Archives will guide participants through basic concepts of document preservation, offering practical tips to help extend the life of personal and family records. The workshop will explore common causes of deterioration and provide strategies for protecting treasured items in personal collections.

“The Preservation Lab: Deterioration workshop will introduce participants to some of the common agents of deterioration that affect archival documents,” said Nicole Aszalos, Archivist/Supervisor of Lambton County Archives. “We’ll provide tips to not only recognize when documents are vulnerable to certain deterioration, we’ll also cover some basic ways you can protect your documents, ensuring they remain intact for future generations.”

Spaces are limited to 10 participants and advanced registration is required. Interested participants can register at on the event webpage at lambtonarchives.ca.
