Lambton Heritage Museum seeking community photo submissions celebrating local farming
Grand Bend, ON – Lambton Heritage Museum is inviting community members to participate in a special photography initiative highlighting modern farming in Lambton County from January 5 to January 31, 2026.
The Museum is seeking photographs that showcase the people, landscapes, animals, and technology that shape our region’s agricultural life today. The resulting community collage will celebrate the diversity, innovation, and traditions found on local farms. Submissions may include a wide range of imagery, such as scenic views of Lambton County farms, caring for livestock, technology and equipment used on modern farms, harvest activities, the people who work on the farms or in the fields, and everyday moments that capture the spirit of local agriculture.
“Our museum team has been hard at work developing our Agricultural Hall exhibition. While we have many excellent images of the history of agriculture in Lambton County, we don’t have a lot of pictures that tell the story of farming today,” said Dana Thorne, Curator/Supervisor with Lambton Heritage Museum. “We’re looking forward to seeing what the community has to offer!”
Digital photographs can be submitted from January 5 to January 31 through an online form available on the Museum website at lambtonmuseums.ca/farming. Anyone wishing to submit physical photographs for scanning may call the Museum at 519-243-2600 to arrange assistance.
All photo submissions should clearly connect to Lambton County. Selected images will be incorporated into a community collage and displayed as part of the new Agricultural Hall exhibition at Lambton Heritage Museum.
