Oil Museum of Canada hosts interactive show: Mousetrap! How to Catch a Mouse with Simple Machines
Oil Springs, ON – The Oil Museum of Canada, National Historic Site, invites families to a fun-filled, hands-on science experience with Mousetrap! How to Catch a Mouse with Simple Machines on Saturday, July 4 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Murphy the Mouse is wreaking havoc in the house and the audience must help stop him! In this lively and interactive program, audience members will work together to design and build a working mousetrap using balloons and simple machines. Along the way, participants will learn fundamental science concepts while enjoying a show packed with whimsical exploration and silly antics. The show is approximately 45 minutes long and presented by Kitchener-based entertainer Drew Ripley.
“Science plays a significant role in the stories shared here at the Oil Museum of Canada, whether we’re exploring the chemistry behind the oil industry or demonstrating the simple machines that help us solve everyday problems. Through programs like Mousetrap! we want visitors to see how science shapes the world around them in playful, hands-on ways that spark curiosity and discovery,” said Meagan Sinclair, Curator/Supervisor with the Oil Museum of Canada.
This special event is free to attend, but space is limited and registration is required. Reserve your spot online at oilmuseum.ca.
