Oil Springs, ON - Oil Museum of Canada, National Historic Site is thrilled to announce the return of the annual Cackling Cauldrons: A Trick-or-Treat Event, on Saturday, October 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Get into the spooky spirit at this fun, family-friendly event! Children are invited to wear their costumes and trick-or-treat in our historic buildings. Inside the Museum, families can join in Halloween-themed crafts and games, including witch hat ring toss.

“This event is about bringing our community together for light-hearted Halloween fun,” said Christina Sydorko, Educational Program Coordinator with Oil Museum of Canada. “This is a safe and welcoming space where families can enjoy Halloween in the daylight without the worries of busy streets. It’s a chance for families to come together, celebrate, and create lasting memories in a place that’s part of our shared history.”

Families looking to extend their Halloween excitement after enjoying Cackling Cauldrons are encouraged to head over to the Village of Oil Springs for their Children’s Halloween Party. Taking place from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Youth Centre on Victoria Street, this family-friendly event features games, crafts, and a costume contest with judging beginning at 4:00 p.m. Candy bags, popcorn, and drinks will be provided.

Admission to the Museum is free for Lambton County residents in celebration of the County’s 175th anniversary. Regular admission applies to non-County residents. For more information, visit the Oil Museum of Canada’s website oilmuseum.ca.
