Oil Springs, ON - Oil Museum of Canada, National Historic Site, is inviting local students, families, and members of the public to Meet Our Wild Neighbours at a PA Day event on Friday, June 10.

Drop in to the Oil Museum of Canada between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on June 10 to enjoy some fun PA Day activities. The event will feature a presentation by Heaven's Wildlife Rescue from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. and will give you a chance to meet some critters from Heaven's Wildlife Rescue in person. Visitors will learn about wildlife in Lambton County and how they benefit the local environment. Heaven's Wildlife Rescue will also be discussing some current dangers facing wildlife, solutions to reduce these dangers, and ways we can help in our everyday lives. Other activities will include crafts creating your very own critters. After the presentation by Heaven's Wildlife Rescue, visitors are encouraged to explore the newly renovated museum and exhibits and enjoy a walk around the museum grounds to try to spot some local wildlife.

“Throughout the year museum staff and visitors observe wild animals like rabbits, groundhogs, deer, and birds on the grounds here at the Oil Museum. This PA Day event is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the creatures we share our environment with,” said Christina Sydorko, Educational Program Coordinator with the Oil Museum of Canada. “We are excited to welcome visitors to the Museum to enjoy the fun activities available throughout the day and to explore our newly renovated site.”

To learn more about this event, visit the event page on the Oil Museum of Canada website.

Regular museum admission rates apply for this event. Admission is $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for seniors and students, $3.00 for children, and $15.00 for families. Children three and under are free.
