Oil Springs, ON – The Oil Museum of Canada, National Historic Site will host a special PA Day program Rev It Up! on Friday, June 5, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This educational event will offer visitors the opportunity to explore the connection between the development of the automobile and the oil industry.

Throughout much of the 20th century, the widespread adoption of gasoline-powered vehicles played a key role in driving demand for petroleum products. Rev It Up! will highlight this important relationship through interactive learning and hands-on activities.

Participants will explore how combustion engines work through the museum’s online interactive program, then put their creativity to the test with hands-on activities including constructing and racing cardboard cars, designing paper race cars, and testing their knowledge about the automotive and petroleum industries.

“Events like Rev It Up! bring history to life by combining hands-on activities with real stories from the past,” said Christina Sydorko, Educational Program Coordinator with the Oil Museum of Canada. “Families will learn how industries like oil and transportation helped shape the world we live in today, while spending time together and expressing their creativity at the same time.”

This drop-in event takes place from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors (65+) and students, $3 for children, and children aged three and under are free. For more information, visit the event page on the Museum’s website.
