Oil Springs, ON - The Oil Museum of Canada National Historic Site is inviting local students, their families, and members of the general public to attend a family-friendly PA Day event on Friday, September 27, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

A variety of special activities will be included with regular admission during this PA Day event. You will be able to use the green screen technology from Lambton County Library's Makerspace program and add yourself into a photograph of a historic oil field. Learn more about our artifacts, discover historical tools and technology, and act as a museum curator through our white-glove handling table experience.

Our permanent exhibits will also be on display during this event. Be sure to start your day by watching the introduction movie in our theatre, and then view the galleries of artifacts, visit the interactive International Drillers tent, and tour the historic buildings on our grounds before they close for the winter.

The Oil Museum of Canada is located at 2423 Kelly Road in Oil Springs. Admission is $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for students (ages 13+) and seniors (ages 65+), $3.00 for children (ages 4-12), or a family pass is available for $15.00. Children ages 3 and under are free.

The Oil Museum of Canada, a National Historic Site, tells the story of Lambton County’s important contributions to the development of the world’s oil industry. Central to the Oil Heritage Conservation District, the museum benefits local residents and visitors by increasing their understanding and appreciation of this unique industrial heritage area.
