Free Admission

Donations are welcome. Your support enables us to offer engaging events and activities, preserve and build our collection, and deliver compelling programs that inform, inspire, encourage, and celebrate our local history.

Vendors

BASES (Bluewater Association for Safety, Environment, and Sustainability)
BASES will have a tent where you can engage with them to discuss community safety related to petrochemicals and the industry. They will also be giving away a 720 hour emergency kit.
Blacksmith Demonstration
Travel back in time with us as we share live historical demonstrations from the pioneer days of our oil heritage. 

Stop by the Blacksmith Shop and say hello to James. James will perform demonstrations on the historical equipment and showcase techniques used by blacksmiths in the past.

Black Gold Brewery
Petrolia's popular Black Gold Brewery will be onsite to provide alcoholic beverages for purchase to those 19+.
Fairy Tale Face Painting
Fairy Tale Face Painting will be on site, providing guests with creative face painting designs, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Girl Guides
The Girl Guides of Wyoming will guide guests through a fun themed craft.
Historical Figure Portrayal
A historical reenactor of James Miller Williams, known for owning the first commercially successful oil well in North America, will roam the grounds.
Lambton Historical Society
The Lambton Historical Society will have a booth you can visit and peruse some historical books they will be offering for sale.
Music Entertainment
Wood Strings Wind (WSW) with Cait, Tessa, and Dan are joining us, playing family-friendly favourites that will have you singing along.
Oil Museum of Canada
We will have our own tent, complete with a fun Lino-Block Printing craft, for all to enjoy.
Truckin Mama's
Food and soft drinks will be available for purchase from Truckin' Mamas on the Run.
Tourism Sarnia-Lambton
Tourism Sarnia-Lambton will be on the grounds, inviting guests to participate in their fun, super sized, lawn games, like Plinko, Jenga and Connect 4.

We Need Volunteers

We are looking for Special Event volunteers for the day of Black Gold Fest. All volunteers will receive a food voucher as a token of appreciation. If you or someone you know is interested in participating as a volunteer, please fill out our volunteer application form.
