Recipes are often handed down through generations to remind us of our home, our heritage, and our family. Food often brings communities together via cookbooks or events. The Lambton County Archives has collected an abundance of tried and (mostly!) true recipes once used by our ancestors in the community.

Historic Recipes from Lambton County takes a different approach at capturing and preserving the stories of the people and the communities that settled here in the County. Within the recipes we glimpse into the lives of the families that used them, the impact of the recipes in the community, the events where food was shared, and preparation methods used before modern amenities.
